Rabid Press is an independent book publisher headquartered in the heart of Texas.  We strive to assist new authors and are widening he roads of a maze-like industry

We could not imagine a better place to launch from than Austin, Texas.  With an economy and city life that has nurtured the independent anything for the pas hundred-some-odd years, it is a breeding place of creativity, innovation, and truly individual characters.  It isn’t everyday you get to claim to be the bat capital of the world.  Fortunately, the bats aren’t rabid, only the books.

As for our name, we needed something catchy.  You never know what you’ll come up with after twelve cups of coffee and five runs to the Krispi Kreme.  People look at us kind of funny when we mention our name.  Others are prone to confusing us with cure, fuzzy rabbits, bringing on visions of Monty Python and Beatrix Potter.  Once we’ve corrected spelling, though, nobody has forgotten Rabid Press.
